Blend 3 + Silverlight 3 = Luv (video demo)

A couple of weeks ago I walked through a demo application to a small group of Silverlight enthusiasts in Sydney. I created this demo to demonstrate some of the really cool features arriving in Blend 3 and Silverlight 3.

Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to get through showing the entire demo at the talk so I recorded this 50 min video. I know its pretty long BUT i honestly tried to make it shorter but couldn't. I have alot to show and walkthru :)

Now I’m not very good at scripting video’s so forgive me if its not up to your standards :)

What I wanted to show people with this demo is a couple of things..

1. Designing your applications visually

2. The power of behaviors

3. Importance of spending your valuable time getting the experience right rather than cutting code (hence spending the time upfront creating invaluable behaviors)

I also had to split the video up into three parts as Silverlight streaming doesn’t allow large files.

 

 

Blend 3 and Silverlight 3 is really going to allow us to rapidly build rich applications, but it will take alot of effort on your parts to make sure you know how to use and abuse these new features!
