Cynergy Takes the Gold at Microsoft's Los Angeles PhizzPop Design Challenge
-Judges from Yahoo!, Netflix, IDEO and Experience Engineering Select Cynergy from Field of Seven Competitors-
WASHINGTON, D.C. (December 10, 2007) Cynergy Systems, Inc., a global leader in rich Internet application (RIA) design and development, today announced that it was named the winner at last week's Microsoft PhizzPop Design Challenge, which was held in Los Angeles, Calif. The Cynergy team accepted the award at a ceremony held on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at L.A.'s Elevate Lounge.
Cynergy was one of seven regional entrants, which included market leaders such as Sapient and Schematic. Cynergy won by unanimous decision of the impressive panel of judges from Yahoo!, Netflix, IDEO and Experience Engineering after building a winning rich solution that leveraged Microsoft Silverlight, Windows Media Center, Windows Live Spaces and Facebook.
Cynergy's President and Founder, Carson Hager, said, "We're honored to receive this recognition from PhizzPop. The competition was formidable; however, as always, Cynergy delivered the right combination of hard core development know-how blended with stunning design." He continued, "We designed Cynergy from the ground up to design and build these incredible next- generation software experiences. The PhizzPop Design Challenge and the Elevate Lounge was the perfect venue for us to showcase exactly that."
PhizzPop was developed by Microsoft to serve as a place where companies - such as Cynergy - that build Web 2.0-enabled software can network, exchange ideas, learn about events, and browse job postings. Launched in April 2007, the community fosters the deeper adoption of Microsoft technologies, such as Silverlight. The PhizzPop Design Challenge consists of five design competitions held in New York, Boston, Austin, Los Angeles and Chicago among the top interactive, web and design agencies.
